Audi R8 Spyder Car

R8 is a great success for Audi. The 2011 Audi Spyder has allowed Audi to help raise the company profile. Furthermore, allowed it to enter the rarefied air of supercar segment. The newest version of V10 guise, coupe's Porsche-like high speed of 194 mph, where rapierlike hhandling goes without unmentioned, offers sporting credentials to Audi that it had not previously enjoyed.

The bottom line is, it will not be 10 pistons,525 high horsepower or for the matter even 4 seconds to take acceleration of 60 mph that would sell new convertible Audi supercar version.

The inside of Spyder is similar to coupe, which means long legged persons are going to have hard time accommodating. However, the seats are quite comfortable and adjustable, offering sufficient side bolstering. Soft-top, fortified in magnesium, remains stable and quiet even when the vehicle is speedy. At 80 mph, it is easy conversation is possible.

Ferrari Cars - Car of Fun not of Compromise

Ferrari is a motor manufacturing company which no one is unaware of, at least in the auto market. The reason for this is the popularity and goodwill of the company and the reason for the popularity is again the Ferrari cars. The leading and top most producer of speed oriented car is none other than Ferrari. This is because all the cars of this specialized company possess higher level of agility and suppleness in it, alongside the cars also are performance and safety oriented because of which a mark of specialization is been highlighted here.

The enhancement and improvement in the over all producing and manufacturing process of Ferrari motor have also made a silent statement in the topic of higher speed oriented motors. The latest and updated Ferrari cars model can be the best and most recent example for the same and when this topic is into picture then how can we forget the latest model F430 Sceduria which is the highlighter and re-marker of performance oriented speedy cars...

Bugatti Veyron Cars

Super car' is the second name of this mesmerizing outcome of Bugatti. Bugatti Veyron Cars has higher speed factor in it which has all the potentials to pass through the motor of a super hero that too with an equal level of speed. We are not saying this, as the market and the experienced driver of this car are saying this. This car is said to be world's second fastest car which is demanded on larger grounds in the market for its specialization and greater speed. The power and dazzling features and factors of this motor is making a mark of perfection which is in turn is creating a remarkable statement.

In general when any one buys a super car than the first and fore most things that person would see is the ‘performance' which contains higher proportion in the overall working areas of the same. In order to own such a higher performance oriented car one need to look at two areas which is inner and outer aesthetics. And when the question of performance has come than again the name of this motor is bound to come as the power to reach 200 and 300 km/h in 7.3 and 16.7 seconds respectively is served by this motor which is making a performance statement. This motor is endowed with W16 engine - 16 cylinders in 4 banks of 4 cylinders fed by four turbochargers where fastest acceleration speed which reaches 60 mph in 2.6 seconds is marking a benchmark.

2010 Lexus RX350: All-new, with more technology but less complexity.

As vehicles become more complex, driving becomes more like operating a computer. Yet the new 2010 Lexus RX 350 and RX 450h seems uncommonly easy to operate. And they are brimming with new technology. If the RX were a computer, and in more ways than ever, it is, it would have a plug-and-play operating system and an inviting, engaging user interface.

When driven back-to-back against the previous model, it's clear the new 2010 RX offers more than cosmetic improvements. Mechanical improvements for the all-new Lexus RX include an independent rear suspension, a 10-airbag safety system, a six-speed sequential transmission, and an improved all-wheel-drive system. Upgraded accommodations include better seats, integrated satellite radio, acoustic glass, automatic high beam control, and a heads-up display among other things. Many of the improvements are due to more and better computer logic for integrated control of driving systems such as the transmission, all-wheel-drive, navigation, steering and brakes.Perhaps the key interior upgrade is the introduction of a mouse-like controller which Lexus calls Remote touch. It's used instead of a touch screen to operate climate, audio and the navigation system.

BMW "No Reverse" Transmission Problem

An automatic transmission is just that- automatic, consequently most people tend to pay very little attention to it until a major problem rears its ugly head.

Picture the scenario- you are driving along in the lap of luxury, the satellite radio blaring and the heated seats on. You have become accustomed to the comfort level and great driving experience brought to you by BMW.

You decide to stop at the local convenience store on your way home to grab some ice cream for the kids and a bottle of water for yourself. Upon returning to your car, you start it up, check your rear view mirror, put the shifter in reverse and then the unthinkable happens- the engine just revs as if it is in neutral and the car goes nowhere!

This article deals with the reasons behind an unexpected loss of reverse in certain BMW automatic transmission equipped vehicles, specifically the 3 series and 5 series vehicles that use the ZF5HP19 or steptronic transmission. This includes the popular 323i, 323ci, 325i, 328i, 330i, 525i, 528i, 530i, X3 and X5 models well as some others built in the 1999 to present model years.

To eliminate confusion, this does not apply to vehicles equipped with the GM 5L40 E transmission, just the ones with the sometimes problematic ZF5HP19. The 5L40 E has some issues of its own that are beyond the

2010 Mercedes-Benz S400 Hybrid Review

Pros:
  • Elegant and stylish
  • Loaded with every possible luxury amenity
  • Spacious and comfortable cabin
  • Superior driving experience for highway cruising
Cons:
  • Very complex to operate
  • Underpowered and heavy
Mercedes-Benz is one of the best known automotive brands in the world and can claim to be the oldest automotive brand that is still active. In the US, owning a Mercedes has long been a mark of success, showing that you have arrived in the world. A few years ago, however, the shine on the distinctive three-prong star has been a bit tarnished by some manufacturing quality issues and a user control interface for the onboard computer that has was panned in the automotive press. Mercedes is known for their strong engineering strengths and historically sound quality, so I expected the cars to bounce back to their former glory. With a chance to review the S400 Hybrid, I looked forward to see how they had recovered from those mishaps as well as see how they had embraced the new environmentally green movement with a hybrid luxury car.

Cadillac – what do you think about when you hear the name?

From its inception until the 1970s, Cadillac was definitely the car for Americans who “made it” in life. It was a car that defined class, elegance and success. Of course, the 1970’s disco era and the oil crisis really wreaked havoc on the Cadillac brand. Ever drive a 1976 Eldorado with the 7L V8 and 180 hp?
‘God awful’ about sums it up.
The eighties were no better, with hunks of crap like the Cimarron, which was simply a rebadged Chevy Cavalier.
The nineties saw glimmers of hope for the brand, especially when the 300 hp Northstar V8 was introduced – a terrific engine even today.
With the success of Northstar-powered V8s in the Allante, Eldo, Seville, and DTS, people slowly started coming back to the brand because Cadillac was no longer a slovenly, gutless anchor weight that only appealed to fans of Glen Miller and Ensure. They were still big, but at least they were more powerful.
My opinion of Cadillac didn’t change until the CTS and XLR were introduced. I never put Cadillac in the same category as a BMW, Mercedes or even Lexus for that matter. But now I do. Why? Because Cadillac trimmed the fat, started offering cars in manual transmissions, endorses a Cadillac branded racing team and has cars like the CTS-V which can eat an M5 for lunch…which is one hell of an achievement. For the first time, they’re successfully balancing performance with luxury, and hence, attracting a younger buyer.

2011 Volkswagen Jetta Review – More car and more affordable

Likes:
  • Interior space (especially back seat)
  • Highly intuitive touchscreen interface for stereo/satellite radio/navigation
  • Rear end looks more luxurious than flat rear of previous generation
  • Ergonomic positioning of driver controls (signals, cruise, sound, etc)
Dislikes:
  • Lack of power at lower rpm’s
  • Center arm rest is too far back and angled downward to be functional/comfortable
  • Phone connectivity non-intuitive and non-functional (in my case)
  • Noisy fan at highest setting
The People’s Car
Volkswagen has been in the United States since the 1950’s, and has grown to be one of the largest manufacturers in the world. With the sixth-generation Jetta that is now less expensive, lighter and larger (almost 3” in length) than the previous version, VW is targeting buyers of the Civic and Corolla with the base price of the Jetta S at $16,755. Incidentally, the base is almost $1k less than the 2010 Jetta S. The model I drove was the Jetta SEL which starts at just over $22,000. With the in-laws in town, I was eager to test out the new Jetta over a few days.

Paris Motor Show News: Porsche 911 Speedster Returns

Reports came in just yesterday that Stuttgart was planning an ultra-hardcore GT3 RS, but the German automaker has now announced an altogether different variant of its iconic sports car: the 911 Carrera GTS, which will make its official debut at 2010 Paris Motor Show.
Created by the Porsche Exclusive department, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, the 911 Speedster honors the 1953 classic from which it draws its inspiration, with only 356 examples to be built. The unique shade of French racing blue comes standard, and continues on the rather, um… interesting two-seat interior, with Carrera White available at no extra charge.
Adopting the styling cues of the very first Speedster, the new model receives a flamboyant appearance with a unique “chopped” windscreen that has been lowered by 2.4 inches and is more extremely raked than that used on other 911 models. It also gets the wide-body rear end of the 911 Carrera 4S cabriolet.
The 2011 Porsche 911 Speedster is powered by the latest version of its 3.8-liter flat-6 cylinder engine. As recently confirmed for the 911 Carrera GTS, it delivers 402 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. The only gearbox available is a seven-speed PDK double-clutch gearbox with a locking rear differential.

2011 Infiniti M56x Review – Your personal Learjet for the streets

Pros:
  • Prodigious power
  • Impeccable materials and craftsmanship
  • Game-changing luxury and technology
Cons:
  • Computer-controlled powerplant
  • No V-8 growl, just a exhaust note that sounds manufactured
Infiniti’s new M-series luxury sports sedan has the brains and the brawn to compete with Bavarian and German luxury car manufacturers. Under the spotlight Infiniti has used its M56x as a showcase to illustrate how technology should be put to use in everyday life; abundant and ever-present, but imperceptible and noninvasive. The M56x offers power, luxury, and technology in ways that you didn’t know you needed, but once you experience them, you won’t want to live without them.

Driving Impressions
I’ll jump at the chance to drive anything with big horsepower. In this case, it was a 420 hp luxury sedan. I had envisioned being rewarded with wheel spin upon mashing the gas pedal, yet gritting my teeth under braking and cornering. Upon taking delivery of the test car and seeing its size and heft first-hand, I was sure my initial impression was justified as I thought to myself, “all-aboard the USS X56m!” At about 4,200 pounds, I figured the acceleration would be brisk, but it would drive like a boat. I was so wrong.

Paris Motor Show News: Lotus Reveals Elite Hybrid

Lotus has just released the full images and details of the 2014 Lotus Elite – their latest supercar which will be unveiled at the 2010 Paris Motor Show.
Meant to redefine modern classic, the 2+2 is a stunning piece of engineering and design. Despite being relatively compact (4.60m long, 1.90m wide, and 1.32m tall), Lotus has managed to give the car dramatic styling and a retractable hard top.
As for the new – and aggressive – design of the car, the man behind it, designer Donato Coco, left no stones unturned in giving the Elite a more aggressive approach by adding some depth to the car’s front fascia. As somebody who noted the two-dimensional looks of prior Lotus vehicles, Coco’s design of the Elite is about as good as it can get for a brand looking to be edgier and more upscale that what its previous reputation suggests.
The Lotus Elite propels itself into supercar territory with a high level of power and performance. Under the hood of the Elite lies a monster 5.0 liter V8 engine developing 612 hp (456 kW / 620 PS) and 531 lb-ft (720 Nm) of torque. The rev limiter of the Lotus Elite is set at 8,500 rpm! While official data is still pending, Lotus expects the 3,638 pound car will accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.5 to 3.7 seconds and hit a top speed of 196 mph.
More importantly, the Elite will also be offered as a hybrid. Details are slim, but the company says the car will have a hybrid gearbox (with integrated electric motors) and a Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS). Thanks to the eco-friendly technology, the Elite hybrid will offer emissions as low as 215 g/km. As a comparison, a 2010 Prius emits 89 g/km of CO2.

Paris Motor Show News: Ferrari 599 Roadster Goes Topless

The Ferrari SA Aperta will be unveiled formally at the 2010 Paris Motor Show on September 30, where the full spec will be announced.
During the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California earlier last month, Ferrari held a very private event for customers to show them the 599 Roadster.
Ferrari’s North American head Marco Mattiachi hand-picked potential buyers to come down and check out the new model and made them sign non-disclosure agreements. Those who were invited had to leave their cell phones and digital camera at the door before they could be in the presence of the Ferrari 599 Roadster.
Ferrari decided to do 80 cars to celebrate Pininfarina’s 80th anniversary, while the SA Aperta pays homage to Sergio and Andrea Pininfarina, whose company has done some of the more outstanding Ferraris over the years. Aperta means “open” in Italian, signifying the soup can opener has been deployed in Modena.
Power for the Ferrari 599 Roadster will come from the same 661-hp 6.0L V12 used in the 599 GTO. Sales are expected to start next summer and only 80 exclusive examples will be produced — all of which are sold.
In case you need a reminder: power for the Ferrari 599 GTO comes from a 6.0L V12 engine making 661-hp with a maximum torque of 457 lb-ft. mated to a F1 6–speed gearbox, the Ferrari 599 GTO goes from 0-62 mph in 3.5 seconds with a top speed of more than 208 mph. Ferrari says that the 599 GTO set a record lap at Fiorano in 1 minute and 24 seconds.

Get a New Car Loan

A car loan is simply a way for you to go about paying for the car that you are looking to purchase. You are going to take out a car loan from a financial lending company and bring it to the car dealership with you. The reason for going about doing this is because the moment that you bring your own New Car Finance to a car dealership you are then considered what is known as any cash buyer in that you can buy the car pretty much out right from them just as if you are paying for it in cash in the first place. You can then you should car finance in order to either buy the car that you want from them or you can also use it to lease a car through them.

Best Used Cars - Get The Best Deals On Repossessed Used Cars For Sale

These public car auctions have to tell you if the car is in good condition or not. But never fear if you buy a car from an auction and it won't work even if it says it’s in good conditioning you're covered under their terms and conditions.

How To: A Car Stereo Installation Guide

Want to save some money? Ever wonder if you could do a car stereo installation yourself? Yes, you can do it yourself! Go ahead, spend that money on your hardware! Don't spend it on labor. Besides, doing a car stereo installation yourself can be a very rewarding experience, not to mention you can learn a lot from it too. Nothing beats the feeling of seeing your “creation” in action, running smoothly and perfectly.

But be very careful, you really won't want to damage your expensive hardware. Well, most car audio hardware are no-brainers to install, you'd find that most of the time the parts have specially shaped sockets and slots etc. and would only fit where it's supposed to be installed. Still, it's best to proceed methodically.
